Definitely you'd have to refine that search - it's way too specific! o.O I'm the ONLY prog fan I know - male or female - in my Uni, which combines both young twenty-somethings and older beings finally getting that degree they'd always promised themselves. If you count prog metal, then there's a couple of people; mainly metal heads who simply like Dream Theater. Then I know of one girl back at my high school, who's mainly into prog metal and jazz fusion, and who might be tempt-able into "actual prog" (by 'actual' I mean the classic stuff - most notably Yes, Genesis, Tull, Gentle Giant, King Crimson, etc).
The thing is, you're not likely to find anyone really into prog the way we are. They're out there, it's just that it's a big bloody world. And you'd have to search. I know if I wanted someone who was into prog, I'd, quite frankly, be SOL. The best I try for is someone who's not musically discriminative (i.e. "I listen to rap and hip-hop [or worse
