Jim had just finished packing the last of his things when he heard a truck pulling up front. Seconds later, his front door burst open, and a red-faced, swaying John Winchester blinked at him.

“John?” Jim asked.

“You,” John growled, and sprung forward, fist outstretched.

OOh that made me cry! When Jim did that blessing - I am so glad he came and honored the request Sam made regarding last rites. And Sam's timing was perfect - but heartbreaking, poor kiddo.

I also liked seeing a bit of Bobby alone with Sam. I've never really been sure of his relationship with Sam because much of his prior interactions have been with Dean so I liked this.

I hope this isn't the end though - although it could be, I suppose :)

Once again, perfect flashbacks and perfect timing. Very nicely done.

I loved the flashbacks in this part, especially the last one. Dean has always had way too much placed on his tiny shoulders. Thanks again for breaking my heart and I can't wait for the next part :-)

This verse is so well thought out it kills me. Beautiful in how it is fragile. Sad in all the ways it is strong.

Out of everything in this verse, that last bit of young Dean was the saddest. And that is saying something! I just felt so torn up about this child who has so much on his shoulders. I'm glad this story was later in the verse, because we know everything turns out well enough. I have to keep telling myself that I know Sam is okay or I just get so down. I love that as much as I say it's so sad, I'm so teary now, it really is amazingly beautiful. I adore this verse so much and cannot wait for more. ♥
