Honestly, fic-wife, I'm starting to think this relationship is a bit unhealthy, what with you making me cry in the middle of the night.

It was at this point that I welled up.

“I’ll have to check. When he wakes up. Sammy got a full ride to KU. Did I tell you? He got in yesterday.”

It was at this point I had to pause reading and have a good cry. Then I fortified myself for the rest of the story with a cup of tea and a cat.

It didn't work. But the tea is now a little salty, and the cat rather damp.

My god. This is just heartbreaking. The back and forth between baby Sammy and Dean and teenage Sam and Dean, happy, forging that early bond, planning for the future, then just devastation. You didn't pull any punches and I feel like I've been through an emotional meat-grinder. I love this series. I don't comment on stories much 'cause I suck at it, but this series is just an amazing read, through and through. I am always looking forward to what comes next. Thank you.

OOh my heart is breaking here for these boys and I am glad you are finally writing this. Dean is in shock and Sam is in a terrible way. I am glad they do have Bobby and Ellen. Love the interspersing of the memories. So heartbreaking. Damn John.
