Up- Close shots of cording and Gussets:

The cording was done using 1/8" nylon cord between a Linen Inner layer, and a Satin coutil outer layer. The lining will be white cotton.

Still left:
- Lacing holes for holding in busk
- Sew lining and fashion layer together
- sew eyelets on back and for straps
- and Zip ties *if needed*
- Bind edges

I am going to hand-work the eyelets in the same cream thread I used for the gussets. The binding is silk dupioni bias I have left over from my 18th century stays. A lot of this is going to wait until my Super-Awesome dad finishes shortening my busk and mails it back to me.
My friend http://akikotree.livejournal.com/ also said she was interested in helping me decorate my busk: http://www.provlib.org/ri_image/Whaling%20Collection/Sites/pages/specialcollections/images/busk.jpg I'm excited!!!

I want to thank everyone who commented on my initial posts with help about ease and cording. All your advise really helped me, and I think my final product is going to be amazing because of it!
