If anyone knows of any decent rental properties in the Edina/Richfield/Bloomington/South Minneapolis area, please let me know. I'm looking for a place with 2 bedrooms that is budget friendly and will accept cats. Thanks in advance.

OOH, I know some good companies!

Innovative Properties is a company that I rented from for three years. I don't know that they'll have something that exactly matches your needs, but their management is good and their pet policy is unbeatable--$100 REFUNDABLE pet deposit with no pet rent. SRSLY!

BT&A Construction is the company I rent with now. Gary is a good guy to talk to. We live at 24th and Bryant and pay $680 for a two bedroom. They accept pets with no pet rent, but the [refundable] deposit is $400. If you don't have that up front, just tell them you have no pets until you do have the deposit. They don't want to deny people based on not being able to cough up a HUGE pet deposit up front.

Let me know where you move! I'd love to see you again one of these days. :)

Excellent - thank you for the suggestions. I was hoping you might chime in as I know you've rented in several different places. I'll definitely look into these.

I hope you find a place sooner than later. Moving in the snow SUCKS. If you need help, let me know! :)

The only place I have rented in MN and was 8 years ago, was Southgate Apts at 80th S
St and 12th Ave. I had a cat when I lived there.

I am sure it is none of my business, but what is going on with you and your house? Everything OK? I hope things are OK with you....

Thanks for your input. Also, thank you for asking what's going on - I don't mind explaining at all. Matt broke up with me this summer and I've come to the conclusion that I can't remain living in this house with him for the sake of my mental health.

I was wondering if it was really a good idea for you to stay living there. I'm sorry you're going through such a shibby time. I have a really big, comfy couch you can come crash on any night of the week. :)

Well it was an issue of which of us was going to move. My garden is done for the year now, so it's time.

Wow, thanks for the heads up. Hopefully you're not stuck in a long lease.
