I am going to either need an extension or need to drop out. I would prefer the former. Family health crisis with one of my parents, so things have been going more slowly in all aspects, and while I have an idea, I've not actually written anything yet. Can we work with an extension?

I'm so sorry that you're having family troubles! if an extra day or two will be helpful, feel free to take it--there's only so much give in the schedule, but 48 hours won't throw anything into disarray. and your fic only has to be 500 words, remember! but if you find yourself still having trouble with the extended deadline, please do let us know.

soo, i just realized i might be flying sometime around the 18th (though idk about timezone conversion, i fail at that), so if i'm a few hours/a day off, would that be cool? i know i could also submit it earlier, but uh, i like playing at the dangerous end of deadlines, like any good lazy college student.
