I loved it so much, too. And I agree with everything you said, but especially what you said about Mike. The stuff he did for the finale was just PERFECT, it set the tone for every single scene so, so well. And all of the callbacks to the musical cues of the past? (Climbing theme! Raft launch theme to the plane taking off!)
You've pretty much summed up my exact thoughts about the finale. Sun and Jin's realisation was also up there for me, along with Charlie/Claire and Sawyer/Juliet (I was anticipating these two the most and they didn't disappoint). As for Jack, I too have never been a huge fan, but his sacrifice was astounding and made me sob into my duvet for hours. I also thought the fact that his realisation had to come from touching Christian's coffin was a great idea, because even though Kate was important for him, the resolution of his issues with his father, and the island, were what was most vital for him.
Urgh, I agree, perfect. I couldn't have wished for or hoped for or imagined anything better from my favourite show. It broke my heart but I'm happy. Haven't plucked up the courage to watch it again yet but when I do, I feel I'll love it even more.
