I have had some radio silence on this so that I can stand back and see where I've landed. It is so not where I intended to be at the beginning of this journey, and I am still in a state of amazement when I look around. most schools will waive application fees if you write a letter requesting them to waive it due to financial hardship. If you explain that you are an adult student without someone else to help you financially, you should be able to apply to most of them for free. Just sayin'.
