Driving along in the car with Shrek yesterday, dropping Bookworm and her pal at dance and making our way home. The drive parallels the railroad tracks of the North Jersey Coast Line, passing several stations. Every Monday (and any other day we take this road) Shrek loudly announces the towns we travel through, as well as their stations. Someday ( Read more... )

And this is why he's awesome. Don't forget to tell him I love him, okay?

I always see him sitting on your lap, the two of you quite engrossed in conversation. :)

Hee! It was one of those moments where you're like, "do I laugh"? Then you think, man, he is absolutely right.

Hey, maybe Shrek can come and ride the trolleybus with me every day. He could memorize the routes around K, and I would never have to scrutinize a city map again.

And I think we should create a bumper sticker:

**whininess: I can't help it, it's just the way God made me."**

You could have one for Shrek, and I could have one for The Princess.

It could be worse, we could live with Caillou, the whiniest cartoon character ever invented.
And Shrek would absolutely memorize the trolleybus routes. He can already find his way around better than his siblings. When my mind starts to (really) go, he'll be handy to have in the car. My own private GPS.

Out of the mouthes of babes - indeed.

I hope that Shrek is proud of himself for his insight. I know 25 year olds without that much!

Wow. Just ... wow. Amazing kid. As I've understood from your other posts. :-) It can't be easy, but still - he's got such a lot of support, an amazing mum (probably amazing rest of family too), and he seems to have a really good personality. I love it when you tell us Shrek moments like these. *hugs you both*

Aw, thanks. I'm happy to be able to report them. He does say some amazing things that make you stop and re-assess yourself. *hugs*
