Most sci fi original movies are actually pilots for shows that never got made because like the pilot/movies they sucked. Also sci fi buys movie from d list studios and then plays them as "originals. Thy also do this with tv shows. They did this most recently with strargate even though it was showtime for like 4 seasons.
