Enjoy dying, boy.

Did you say something? Sorry, I got rather bored halfway through and stopped paying attention.

Oh? Not going to blame it on your surely poorer-quality, human ears now?

They're certainly not helping. Not helping at all.

I got a letter. I'm not going to do anything though. Even if what it says is true, and they were planning on carrying out everything? Still wouldn't be worth it.

Anyway, if you need help with anything, I'd be glad to do my best.

Good, smart lad you are.

I need you to protect yourself. The fact is that, anyone who kills is probably going to get a reward, weapons, powers, I don't know. But if you keep yourself alive, it's harder for them.

...right. I'll try.

Is there anything I can do for you, though?

Just protect yourself. And anyone you care about.

That's the best I can do as well.

Well, sorry to disappoint, but I'm not that sort of Doctor. I do what's best for everyone... if I have to.

Though I hope I don't have to either.

... Yeeeeaah, no. I don't think I really care enough to get involved in this. I just hope nobody tries killing me again.

Hide as best you can then. It's the best you can do. Unless you have some very smart friends.

I was going to say powerful, but well, no one is powerful anymore.

I guess that could constitute a plan... But I'm guessing that if I miss a few days of school, I'll still probably end up droned anyway...

Well, at least you'll be safe then.

Hoping humans, or really any creature of any species for that matter, will not fall into infallible stupidity? Good "Time Lord", if I will speak with good intentions as I normally do, you have clearly not lived long enough.

Never hurts to try to encourage them. Believe me, I've seen it pay off occasionally.

Patience is a necessary virtue when dealing with other sentient beings that almost always prove to be unpredictable. [Well at least he discovered recently, what without having the omniscience to know what everyone is like right away.] You cannot fault them for repeating patterns that they are ultimately doomed to repeat, simply by their own nature. Like telling a rat it should not go through the same maze and traps to get some cheese.

No. Humans and rats aren't the same. Humans can think, they can imagine, they can reach for the stars and get there. They just sometimes fall back a few rungs when they try to climb.
