I remember Carrie really scaring me. The Blair Witch Project was too phony for me although the Exorcist was a good one. Another to add is The Shining. I just love Jack Nicholson.

The Shining really didn't scare me that much. It's a good movie, and had its creepy moments, but for flat-out-scary, it didn't measure up.

The Blair Witch Project didn't scare me during - it was after I got home and processed everything and read stuff about it online. Then I had nightmares for weeks. It was pretty interesting.

You put together a solid list of scare fests. One of my favorite movie scenes is in "Jaws" when we see the shark for the first time.

Apparently I missed a large part of growing up - I never heard of the Bloody Mary Legend. And I don't watch horror movies. My preferred Halloween movies run more to Disney creations.

Bloody Mary scarred me for life. Consider yourself lucky! As for Disney horror - Sleepy Hollow is an excellent movie.
