When you say cottage cheese do you mean American style cottage cheese or is this something different?

In Russia we use curd cheese (tvorog), but you can use what's available where you live. Cottage cheese or other kind of fresh unsalted cheese which has similar texture. The recipe will work and taste really good.

Thank you. Found a site with directions on how to make tvorog and it looks very similar. Looking forward to trying this recipe. :D

oh, lovely! I didn't think about this. it really is absolutely doable to make tvorog at home
not necessarily for pascha, it's very good on its own with creme fresh and honey or some jam/fruits
