Corn meal

Hey guys. So one of my favorite meals for a few months was chili + cornbread. The last time we made it, we'd gotten a brand new canister of corn meal, and then we realized that we were SICK of chili and so we won't be making chili or cornbread again anytime soon (I only really like cornbread when I can dip it in chili!). I have no idea what polenta even is =\, but omg hush puppies! I was just introduced to the deliciousness that is (are?) hush puppies. I'll try to find a recipe and give those a try. :)

Polenta is kinda like grits. You boil it and you can add stuff to it. This might be a good bit of info (and a ton more accurate than what I could offer).

My mother used to make them. They taste on the corny side but are very good with maple syrup. I don't have the recipe with me but:

Oh! Childhood memories.

My parents always dredged fresh fish in cormeal then fried it up and served it with fresh lemon.

breading for any type of veggie or fish for frying, fried cheese sticks, chicken and cornbread dressing, mix with garlic salt, pepper and any other seasoning you like and use like a "shake and bake" sort of breading for chicken or pork chops.
BTW Paula Deens hushpuppy recipe is off the chain!
