my doggie died.

got my room assignment for next year. it's starting to feel more real now.

i have a single. thank god. staying in the public affairs residential college. seems like i'll never get away from poly sci and government nerds. it should be alright...a little piece of home.

just a little more than a month now.

sometimes i forget why i'm going to chicago.
it's not a good thing to forget.
it's the rest of my life:
suburbs lying about a windy city
or a lagoon off lake michigan,
an inlet somewhere 2000 miles away.

i would like to announce that all the fish dave and i rescued from senior breakfast are still alive and swimming.
