We had a Middle East Feast/Swim/Birthday party yesterday. I could've totally used this recipe.
On the other hand, we have an ethnic market down the street that does great hummus, as well as tabbouli, and dolma, which we served along with bbq'd meats and flat bread, yogurt tahini sauce (which I did make) and assorted melons and cherries, etc.
I don't often actually make hummus myself... but it's kind of spendy at the market, and this makes a nice large amount for entertaining. Sorry that it was just too late for your party!
