I've heard that rumor. [He pulls out a notepad] Also I have heard that it is an illusion, that this is some sort of machine we are all powering, amongst other things. None of them, of course, make any sense.
Do you have any thoughts?
[The whole places irritates him. Redd is someone who is rarely seen in person, and the latest shows of power set Veld on edge. What could one do against someone who could put you into a living prison or put you in another body? It would take a lot of willpower to outsmart him. A lot of time that Veld wasn't too keen on spending.]

I have noticed my abilities are significantly decreased since arriving. Could it be that people's abilities are somehow being siphoned off to power the place, I wonder?
[It's purely speculation, but it does make Zelda wonder. That theory wasn't something that Zelda hadn't yet heard.]
