EDIT: Links Fixed!

Wow Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow is a horrible movie. Maybe in the theater the cinematography would have been enough to keep my attention, but in my living room I just stopped paying attention after awhile. I thought I was gonna get through it by cheering on the giant robots, but it’s mostly Jude Law with his bland ( Read more... )

Oh, god. I was dragged to see "Sky Captain" opening day by friends who were very excited about it, and that movie hurt me. It touched me in places I didn't want to be touched, and told me that if I told anyone, it'd say I'd been asking for it and I shouldn't have been in that neighborhood at that time of night anyway. And then it spat on me as it walked away.

I think the thing that offended me the most was the running "gag" about the lack of film that Gwyneth's camera held, and her holding off taking pictures, waiting for something better to come along. It's like a nephew telling you the same knock knock joke over and over again, except during the theater, I didn't need to give a courtesy laugh.

I think maybe. I found a number on the interwebs and tried to call them, and the number wouldn't work. The next time I left the house, the gate was down and it was closed. No sign, no explanation, but closed it has stayed. And I hope it continues to stay closed. I assume someone was both quicker and less merciful than I.
