Cold. Really really really cold. Kagura would have loved to sleep longer but she dreamed that she was fighting against a bear and fell out of the bed. That was that. She trudged lazily towards the cafeteria in search of breakfast. Rice would be good. And bread. And maybe fish. Or beef. Or roast pig. Actually she wasn't picky. She'll eat anything.

But she was in the mood for one thing. Hot chocolate. She's never tried it since Gintoki hordes all the chocolate back home, but she heard that it was perfect for cold mornings like these. She fell in line like the rest of them, took all the food that was offered. Now where was that chocolate?

She followed her nose and got to a table where the said drink was. "One please," she said politely. "Before I kick your ass."

Just because he was now awake didn't mean Mello was particularly sane or in tune with society yet, and accordingly the girl who'd just accosted him out of the blue and demanded a share of That Which Was Never Shared got a healthy dose of evil eye in lieu of a reply.

This one had to be new. And given that he didn't recognize her, she wasn't in 1st Brigade. Were they getting lax on beating them to kittens over at the 2nd or what?

"Oy. Ooy!" Kagura waved her hand in front of the man's face. "Are you listening? Are you?" She stared at him. "Because if you're not, I'm going to take that." And so she made a grab for that cup of chocolate.

"Oh, I heard you." The sheer audacity of the grab stalled his thoughts for a moment but not his reflexes (WARNING: CHOCOLATE JEOPARDIZED was a signal worthy of god speed) and he lifted the mug blithely out of the way without changing expression. "What do you think I am, a drinks dispenser? Get your own. Market. Shoo."
