Azul loved war. That was a fundamental truth that was decisive about every part of his life. Part of his being that played into his every decision ( ... )

Zero had simply just looked at the order to assemble in the training grounds for some time, unsure what to do. After some time he decided that he could not really do much to change his situation, and with a defeated sigh stood up. “Well, I might as well go meet them, I think I’ll be here for awhile... Sorry Hime, looks like I can’t be with you just yet.”

He reasoned that the situation was not as bad as it had first seemed. Moreover, it was true; he would be dead now, so in a way, he did owe it to help somehow. In a way, by earning his way home, it gave him the second chance he would have missed if he had died. “I’ll earn this, the right way then.”

Finally he was fully able to smile again, if he kept to himself and did his part, things would be simple, he had been walking all the while as he had though, and he had just reached the training grounds, to hear the line about an easy start. So far as he saw, everyone was huge. He felt so small in that moment, but even with a bit of a worried look, kept his smile in place.

Chie couldn't wrap her mind around why she was doing this, but going to this place she goes! The poor girl was still trying to get adjusted to her newer, harsher surroundings, and her beginnings in this place did not seem to paint a pretty picture for her future time in here.

Walking slowly to the training camp, Chie tried to mull through the hows and whys of her situation. Why she suddenly found herself here and why she had to participate in this war. She could fight, yeah, but war had a whole another intensity strapped to it altogether.

I don't know if I'll even live through this... She shook her head at that. No, Chie! Now's not the time! If the only way to get out of here is to win, then we have to do our best!

Knowing that she was hanging on a thread with that line of thought, Chie still hardened her nerves and walked on. Considering how that guy's announcement sounded, he must be starting a training session, right? And Chie loved training, and she could use the tips to survive from her general, a person who would - should, ( ... )

Tsunayoshi honestly had no idea what was going on. He heard the announcement of their supposed leader, sure, and he was told the basics of what was expected of him. The problem was that it was hard to make it all sink in. Everything happened so fast during the last few days, even thinking about it made his head hurt.

Did the transportation device Byakuran supplied them with malfunction? Or did someone in this place do something? He hoped everyone else was alright. If only he had some way to contact them...

But for now, he decided to respond the call of the commander of the second brigade. That was his brigade, right? If other people in it arrived here like he did, maybe he could find a friend or at least someone who could understand his plight.

Unfortunately for his own peace of mind, what he found was nothing like what he hoped he would find.

Everyone looks... creepy, Tsuna thought to himself as he cautiously approached the large group gathered in the training grounds. Well, the girl looked alright, maybe even cute. The big blond ( ... )

Considering the attitude of the country's leader, Chie's doubts weren't without reason. However, if she worried that Weiss was inexperienced, her concerns would quickly be eased. The lifetime he had spent in Deepground had prepared him all too well for what he was meant to do here, and it was easily said that war was all he really knew. Back at "home", he had trained for as long as he could remember, and it certainly paid off.

When the last person had finally arrived, Weiss gave a brief glance to Azul, before turning his attention back to the soldiers. Noting Tsuna's apparent uncertainty with slight amusement, he nodded. Then, he began to address them in a firm tone, one that presented authority.

"This," he started, amusement still present, though fading, "is the second brigade. I'm sure you're already aware of your current situation, but so we are clear: You have been brought here against your will, assigned to a division, and asked to fight. As much as you might not want to be here, it doesn't change the fact that you ( ... )
