RomComs - "Walter, you're wonderful, in a loathsome sort of way."

I first saw this movie in the midst of a million other movies at a film festival, so I really needed to rewatch at least a bit of this, so that I could refresh my memory on how it went. It's available on YouTube, so I didn't even have to hunt for it. And for at least the first 20 minutes, I was trying to think of another movie to do today.

SO much better than any version with Hildy as a man.

Sure, Walter is a dirty scheming con man - but Hildy needs to realize that she is too! (of course I love Walter, but we all know I have no moral standards when it comes to being attracted to men) But the main reason to love this movie is the dialogue (and the delivery thereof).

*heh* Cary Grant was my "character you would most want to ride off into the sunset with" on my BNAT application last year, largely based on His Girl Friday, which is basically my favorite movie ever.
