It isn't Nathan Barley if Dan Ashcroft doesn't suffer terribly and in highly visible ways, but it is fun to have him be happy for a bit.

Good lord Connie! This fic starts out with a fresh kind of nostalgia and ends with my face all flushed and warm! I can't even pretend to understand the kind of math voodoo you do in your writing but I'm totally with you. As always, I am in awe. Oh god I love Dan Ashcroft so much, YOUR Dan Ashcroft. I love how (seemingly) shameless and debauched he can be. And the Chucks, such a nice detail that he buys them new, keeps Dan on this side of hobo and the name check gives just the proper amount of back in the day. Favorite line: "I can last as long as you need me to." OH MY. I feel a Peggy Lee song coming on, I better log off before that torturous Dan/Julian visual/aural combo gets cemented in my mind and I'm done for the night! XOXO

It isn't voodoo, I just thought of young Julian, listened to some nineties music, offered a few drops of blood to the goddess of fanfic... there may have been some voodoo involved.
