its one thing to say there are no absolute truths, sure. but its another to say that no one is interested in the truth. that every book we've read, every thing we've learned, every historian who has written something -- they are all make believe, because people are more interested in telling their stories than passing real things along.
we don't want truths, we want manifestos. we want soapboxes to stand upon, we want indignance, we want faith, we want certainy.

Aren't people always, without exception, more interested in affirming their own views than knowing what's really happening?
