achyroptera and I were talking about meteor showers this weekend. So, this is for her (well, and everyone else with an interest ;-). The Aurigids (a rare meteor shower) should be happening just before dawn on 1 September 2007. There's a Java applet on that page that'll show the estimate rate of meteors at your location.
