The voice is still recognizable, just less matured]So, this is where new people arrive, is ( Read more... )

Finish the story? Let's see...

Suddenly a more competent ruler came to this organization. An intelligent and cunning ruler. With his help the Organization won and all the demons were vanquished as the ruler was remembered forever as a hero.

I suppose that's a decent ending.

And what about those poor unwitting captives. Were they ignorant forever?

I guess a good story would mean they got their freedom hmm? It's not very realistic, though.

Really? Can't say I've even been in such a situation before [she blatantly lied] so I wouldn't know what's "realistic" there.

Realistically speaking, I would think most captives stay captive. [He really could care less. They're captive for a reason.

But he does add on:]

It's very unfortunate.

Unfortunate's one word for it, anyway. But from another angle, maybe they deserve it after all in most circumstances; usually one does something to be locked up. Though... [An exhale] these ones weren't even aware they were stuck. Were they really so unfortunate?

I can definitely see that angle. [And agree with it.]

But if they didn't even know they were stuck, it seems a little...well, I guess foolish is one word people would use for it.

Is a fish a fool for never leaving the ocean?

A fish cannot live out of the water, so no. It's actually quite smart for not leaving.

And yet, if they never left the sea, a whole bunch of planets never would have had sentient beings.

What are you talking about?

[Excuse him, he's basically from a dream world of a dying 19th century man.]

Apparently something you don't know.

Well, obviously. It'd be polite to share.

Pity I'm not that polite. [A pause, and then a laugh] Tell you want, go look it up, see if you can't figure it our yourself.

Let's see. You're telling me to go search for fish leaving the water and helping populate planets. I wonder what storybook I should start with.

I'd consult a few scientific textbooks first. It's an old theory, but a fun one.
