kolms wrote an excellent little intro-to-comment-ficathons you can read here but I'll paraphrase some super important points here:
First of all welcome and you're going to have a great time! Have you ever had a pair of song lyrics or small plot bunny idea you'd like to see blown up into a little fic? That's what this place is for. Those little prompts you wish would be written... fanfic a la carte!
This is not a 'claiming' sort of ficfest in any way or form. One prompt can stimulate multiple fills which are various takes on the inspiration. Write as much as you want or as little!
If you prompt and are filled, please leave a little "thank you" comment even if the fill isn't great. Ficathons are about quick, unedited work and flashes of inspiration, it's nice to appreciate those bothering to write.

Ficathon will run until July 25th ! This doesn't mean you can't troll the post for prompts afterwards, or even that you can't fill them, but please be courteous and slow your posting after that date. If you decide to fill a prompt way after the ficathon ends please post to your personal journal and provide a link for the prompter.
Feel free to prompt anything and everything, as specific or non-specific as you'd like!
One prompt per comment (but feel free to prompt as much as you want!)
AUs and crossovers welcome to be prompted and filled, just please clearly be specific about the additional verse.

Prompts must look like this: character/pairing, prompt
Fills must have an info line resembling this: title, character/pairing, rating, warnings (WARNINGS ARE A MUST. When in doubt, over warn.)
If your fill is going to take over 3 comments to post, please post to your journal and leave a link as a comment. Nothing is worse than seeing (1/?) and having a huge novel posted in comments. Don't think I'm not overjoyed that you've been so inspired but be courteous to the other ficathon-ers.
Be nice. Be supportive. (I have no doubts Community fans will be great at this but I have to say it!)
