SANARA SINISTRA: 27 November, 1941

May 26, 2006 07:13

Handed to Olive, reluctantly, before fleeing the dorm to take breakfast early.

Dear Myrtle,

I am sorry about the way Olive and Tom have been treating you this year. I have tried speaking to Olive, but she is easily annoyed merely thinking about you. I do not understand how you rub each other up the wrong way so easily. Can’t you simply stay away ( Read more... )

Poor Sanara, it's such an utterly horrid situation for her to be in. And I love how at first she was trying to make Myrtle change the situation, before realising that Olive is equally to blame. *hugs*

It was going to be a letter to Myrtle. I thought it was going to be a letter to Myrtle. But I just couldn't think of what Sanara could write to her. So I just went with that and her frustration at Olive came out. There will be fallout, poor girl.
*hugs*

Sanara, what happened?

You seem distraught.

Oh, nothing has happened.

*pushes her porridge around*

I wanted to write a letter to Myrtle, to apologise, because Olive, and, well Tom too, are so mean to her sometimes.

But there was nothing I could say. I wrote a note to Olive instead. And she going to hate me and say that it's none of my business and I can just stay away from them.

*scowls*

I could, too. Olive's not going to do well in History without my help.

Hmmm...

I'd noticed that they seem to pick on Myrtle. She can be a little overbearing sometimes, but she doesn't mean ill. It's tough to be a Muggleborn in this school, I guess, especially when you try to interact with us Slytherins.

*tries to smile reassuringly*
I don't think Olive will hate you - you are very good friends. And this is what friends are for.

*laughs*
And the History bit will certainly play a role.

Why, though? It not like she's less magical than Olive is.

*smiles wanly* I wouldn't say very good friends. We study together, but I spend as much time with Elizabeth, and Olive and Veronica watch the Quidditch together.

We'd be fine without each other. Except for the studying.
*grins, self-deprecating*

Oh Sanara, trying to play the peacemaker. It's really too bad that Olive didn't listen- Do you know whether there was a fallout between Olive and Sanara after Myrtle's death? Did it affect their friendship (not that it was Olive's fault but Tom's)?

Thanks.

Olive tried, but there was a lot of other stuff going on that Sanara doesn't really understand (I think).
There will be fallout between Olive and Sanara after Myrtle's death. And there is another bump in their relationship before then. But in the end the issues they have with each other outweigh the issues with Myrtle.

There will be letters. *g*

I don't see why you're so upset.

About the Mudblood. It's not as though she is your friend.

She's still a witch. And human!
It's not- there are certain- You shouldn't treat anyone like that.

Myrtle's not going to comment here, as she's too proud. However, *squishes* she's really touched!

Thanks.
I don't think it does much, sadly. But she did try.
