Andromeda,
Professor McGonagall is writing to Mother and Father about my 'situation'. I don’t know exactly what that means, but I'm sure it isn't good. She caught me after Quidditch practice and had me come to her office for one of those dreadful sorts of Chats. At least she had good biscuits. Usually I can't even imagine what she's going

Not doing so well?

It's all the same, really. Not worse, or... dunno. *sighs* It's bollocks. All of it.

*quiet, neutral tone*
Did you get things sorted out then? With McGonagall?
Er... how much should Lily know at this point?
Reply
*frowns*
*sharply*
What's that supposed to mean?
*brow furrows and he looks confused for a moment*
Er. Oh. I... Fine. It's fine. She just wanted... she wanted to ask me about Quidditch practice.
Well, Sirius is keeping it to himself at this point and I wouldn't guess that James would blab to anybody about Sirius staying with him. However, word of things like this does tend to get around without anyone seeming to have told anyone else. I'd guess that maybe Lily had heard that Sirius was staying with James, but perhaps not the complete reason for it? I'm pretty easy either way. To be honest, even if it were common knowledge, Sirius would still take this opportunity to lie because he's very uncomfortable about the situation. At your discretion, my dear!

Oh- all right. I um... thought it might have something to do with-
*abruptly* Are you at James's home now? I mean- not right now but were you staying there?
*bites her lip, wondering if she should say more* There's- nevermind.
All right, we'll play it that Lily only knows the hearsay- that's all right with you? She's asking partly out of general curiosity and partly because she hates to see people miserable without wanting to do something to help. Not that Sirius will likely accept anything from her anyway but she can't stop herself. :)

Who told you that?
*jaw shifts as he considers what he's just said*
*coldly*
Not that it's any of your business, but I did spend some time at James' house over holidays. Is that particularly remarkable?
I'm just fine with it. But I am afraid that Sirius is insisting on being a bit of a bastard. :P Although that's not necessarily unusual, is it? *smooches to you and to Lily*

How did the meeting with the old cat go? She doesn't know about Sunday does she? I told James someone would catch on. I-
*realizes he's rambling*
*swipes hand through hair*
I mean um, just making sure everything's alright mate.

Was alright. Not permanently scarred or anything. Just something about me being at James'. I think she's concerned about the owls getting lost or something if she doesn't have all her records updated. *blandly* Wasn't really paying attention anyway.
*glances away, awkwardly, and then back*
Yeah. I'm fine. No worries, right?
*stretches a little, easing into a posture of casual indifference* They're arseholes. I'm well rid of them. End of story. The rest is cake. *grins lazily* So what's this about Sunday?
Reply
Sure thing, no worries. So long as the general message they receive is 'fuck you.'
*grins*
You know how I went to the dungeons to get get gillyweed from Slughorn's stores? Well I wasn't the only one in there. I bumped into Snape on the way in, he was stealing a bezoar. I thought he'd go to someone about seeing me, since he could probably get away with it being the Potions golden boy, bu I think he's afraid I'll tell.
*winks*
What he doesn't know, is we could use it in so many more ways than simply tattling.

Yeah. Reckon that would be the point.
*nodding, gaining some enthusiasm as Pete keeps talking*
Yeah. Shit. That's perfect for knocking the ugly bugger on his arse. Figuratively speaking, of course. *looks thoughtful*
Will be replying to Pete's comment in his letter (and answering your question) later on tonight!

What situation? Detention?
Not the most suave person in the world, my Kingsley!

Yeah. They're a bastard. I don't think anyone in their right mind could actually enjoy that sort of thing.
Erm. *looks uncomfortable* Nah. It's nothing. *rubs the back of his neck* Just some Quidditch stuff, yeah? And I guess she thinks I've been skiving off in lessons or something. Dunno. *shrugs again* Who knows with her, right? *weak smile*
LOL! No. But that's more than ok. :D We do love him anyway. :)

Broads are hard to understand, and a broad who's a professor, too - no way!
She's not threatening to keep you off the team because you're skiving off, is she? Because that's low.

Nah, nah. Nothing like that. No worries about Quidditch. Merlin. If she did anything like that... Damn. Don't know what I'd do.

*looks around himself and then reaches into his bag, pulling out a small bottle of firewhisky.*
Don't ask how I got it or where from, you just look like you could use some.

*blinks at the firewhiskey*
*glances around himself as well*
*takes it in his hand, looking at it closely as if expecting it to turn into something else without warning*
*short surprised laugh, glancing up at Rabastan with disbelief*
You know how to take a bloke off-guard, don't you?

It's one of my many charms.
*he runs his fingers through his hair, almost shyly* I haven't been very nice to you recently so I thought I would make amends.
So this is both a peace-offering and something to make you happy.

*ducks his head once in a nod*
That's terribly kind of you.
*glances about them again to make sure no one is around*
*cracks open the bottle*
Beware Slytherins bearing gifts, right?
*winks at him quickly and swallows a large gulp*
*lets out a long breath, wiping at his mouth with the back of his hand*
Fuck. That's the stuff.
*offers the bottle to Rabastan with a tilt of his head*
Drink?
