MINERVA MCGONAGALL: 15 September 1938

Da!

I made it! I'm on the Gryffindor Quidditch team as a Chaser! I'm one of two girls, the other is Eunice, a 6th year and she's our Seeker. She's bloody fast too.

Practice starts next Thursday night. And our first game is against Ravenclaw! I'm nervous already. They don't stand a chance ( Read more... )

Congratulations on making the team, Minerva. I'm sure you fly so beautifully I will be tempted to cheer against my own House. *warm smile* Though, don't tell anyone I said that, of course.

Thanks, Tom.

*laughs*
Well that will be a success indeed. Getting a Slytherin to cheer for a Gryffindor. I might just take this as a challenge. *mischevious grin*

*smiles shyly, but not without his own hint of mischief*

If you see this as a challenge, I'm afraid I've already lost.

*opens her mouth to respond, but can't say anything*

*closes her mouth and blushes a bit, biting her lower lip as she looks at him*

Good on you, professor! Best position in the game is Chaser and never listen to anyone who says different.

*smiles freely*
I can't wait to play. I always wanted to be a Chaser, or maybe Keeper. I think I'm too tall for Seeker. Eunice is like a hummingbird up there. Our other two Chasers have been on the team before. One of the Beaters is new, but a fifth year, big bastard too.

Wow. That's fantastic news. I'm sure you'll do a bang up job of it, too.

*giggles*
Oh thanks, Sirius! I only hope I won't get too banged up. Those bludgers are vicious.

Nah. You'll be fine. That's what Beaters are for.
*looks at her sharply* You've solid Beaters, right?

*thinks rather seriously*
Aye, one's been on the team for three years and can manage Bludgers better than anyone. I'm not too sure about the new one, but he seems solid enough.

You're on the Quidditch team? That's BRILLIANT!

I know! Isn't it? I think Quidditch is even better than Transfiguration, and I love that subject!

Holy shit. Colin's got Minerva just as excited. 13 year old Minerva scares me sometimes. *laughs*

*nods furiously*
Quidditch is the BEST! Harry plays and I watch EVERY game and EVERY practice and it's SO COOL!

*giggles* It's a good thing 13 year old Minerva doesn't know about Harry then, or they could get really excited!

Wow. You really do like it. Do you have a favourite team? I like the Magpies, myself.

I shudder to think.

Congratulations, Minnie. Quidditch, wow!
We had our frist riding lesson week and it was fabulous. Really scary, though. You're so brave dealling with the bludgers. But then, you're a Gryffindor. *g*

Thanks, Sanara. You'll come to the game won't you?

It's the first match of the year and you won't want to miss it. Even if it weren't me playing. *laughs*

Getting settled in all right? Those other Slytherins aren't giving you and problems are they? *looks fiercely around*

I'll come. It'd be strange to miss it. Father just doesn't me playing, I'm sure he'll want to know how good you are.

Everything is very good so far. I like Professor Herbert, but I don't like Septimus Prince. He laughed because I was from London. There's a boy in my year, Tom, he was raised by Muggles. He seems very nice, if a bit quiet.

*nods*
Don't worry. Quidditch is brilliant to watch too. And you won't get attacked by Bludgers. Well... not usually anyway. *voice rather serious, but eyes twinkling*

Proffesor Hebert is really nice and likes to keep class lively. What do you think about Transfiguration? l really love it. I think it's my best subject, but Muggle Studies is interesting too. You might like that when you get to be a third year.

*thinks, brows knitting together at the student names*
I don't know that Prince person but he sounds like a right arse. But Tom.... *cheeks take on a pink cast* Tom I've met. He seems very sweet.

*whispers* And he's cute too, don't you think?
*blushes a bit more and assumes a more dismissive tone*
For a first year anyway.
