Dear Mary,

I’ve arrived at Hogwarts and everyone here can do magic! Dad was wrong. I’m not a freak. There are lots of people like me. The professors are very good at it. My headmaster just waved his hand and a whole feast appeared on all of the tables in the Great Hall!

We won! 280 to 70! I only missed one of my 4 shots (damn new beater missed a Bludger, but it only caught the sleeve on my robe) and took one penalty.

I made it! I'm on the Gryffindor Quidditch team as a Chaser! I'm one of two girls, the other is Eunice, a 6th year and she's our Seeker. She's bloody fast too.

We had our first riding lesson today. Madam Hooch was very nice to me. The broom went UP for me on the third time. I flew several feet, but we did not go higher than three feet from the ground.
