Fill: MCU - Steve Rogers + Bucky Barnes + Peggy Carter - Steve Rogers Vs. Himselflil_1337January 19 2017, 00:31:34 UTC
Steve hated it. The feeling of disconnect that hit him when he was least expecting it. The big things, like holidays, he knew were coming and he could plan for them. It was the little moments, the tender touch of a hand or laughter that spoke of history shared between friends that would catch him unaware, with his guard down. The realization that the world he knew was dead and gone would come rushing back with the force of a blow to the from Thor's hammer

Jeannie's entire body was focused on a single nerve ending, cut open and raw, exposed and burning, agonizing. She was down. She couldn't breathe. She couldn't see. All she knew was pain.
And then she heard Darth Merat's voice.
"Join me. You are a Skywalker by birth, a wielder of The Force by blood, and the next pupil of Darth Siddious by right. Get on your feet. Fight me. Give in to your anger. This is where you belong. With family."
Family.
Jeannie gasped in a breath, pictured Rodney, with his dramatic hands and his blue eyes. Pictured John, leaning in the doorway of the Puddle Jumper and smirking. Pictured Ronon, sitting meditatively in the middle of the chaos of a dozen disassembled blaster weapons. Pictured Daniel, hovering at Rodney's elbow and trying to ply him with tea. Pictured Evan, stepping into the droid chute to walk in the vacuum of space and perform heroic repairs on the Puddle Jumper's shield systems.
This is my family.
She felt the Force flickering in her fingertips. Could Rodney sense her, like she sensed him?

Oh, this is so nicely done! I love the quote interspersed with Jeannie's thoughts of her new little family while she faces down her flesh and blood family. Very powerful.

You are so welcome! Even though Luke and Leia are blood, they weren't raised together, and the way they found each other - and Han and Chewie and everyone else - reminds me a lot of the way the gang bands together on SGA, so I ran with it.
Fill 1/2: Glee/SG Multiverse zombie apocalypse AU, Sue POVnagi_schwarzJanuary 19 2017, 06:52:31 UTC
Colonel Carter said this would be the hardest part, the drive through the city to the pier where they’d have to unload all of their supplies and ship them over to Atlantis. Sue knew, intellectually, that a city would be more dangerous. It was full of people, and even more full of zombies. Zombies wanted to eat them. At best, the humans wanted to steal from them. At worst, the humans wanted to eat them too

Omaha. ::snerk::
Love Sue's POV here. Still the same snarky Sue, only now with a deeper appreciation for the dumb kids around her. (Every time she thought about 'Creepy Nathan' I couldn't help laughing.)
The Reaver reference was a nice touch, and that moment when one of the zombies grabbed hold of Sue was really...ugh. Horrible.
Thanks for the great fill! I'm so worried about what's going to happen before this caravan gets to Atlantis. ::bites nails::

This hurt to read, but I think you've really hit on a seldom-explored aspect of his character.

More blasts sounded. Sue strained, listening for cries of pain as their hidden attackers got a nasty dose of their own medicine, but she heard none.
“Ready,” Carter said, and Stevens shouldered his rifle, so Sue did the same.
“Covering fire while the device wielders rotate positions,” Carter continued, and was she in command, or Mitchell? It was so unclear.
Carter said the word fire, but before Sue could squeeze the trigger, a hand popped up from beneath the truck, grabbed her shotgun, and yanked ( ... )
