Rose turned round to see a man in a black leather jacket who, it appeared, had just stopped mid-step when he saw her, and was now looking at her with an expression of utmost excited delight on his face. Which would have been great and all, only she'd never seen him before in her life.

"Uh... what?"

"Rose! It's me! How are you? What are you up to?"

Rose looked up at the bus stop sign next to her, then back to the strange man. "... waiting for a bus?"

His face fell. "Oh. I haven't met you yet, have I?"

Rose shook her head, slowly.

Thanks! :D I've wanted to write a fic like this for ages, I'd always wondered where he disappeared off to before remembering to tell her it travelled through time. You've helped me exorcise that particular plot bunny!
