Because Disney bought Marvel....smaragdbirdJanuary 20 2010, 12:43:03 UTC
If they were a movie, John knew, then Bobby would be the right guy and he would fall in love with his best friend in the end, at least if they were a Disney movie. If they were a James Cameron movie for instance, then one of them would probably die in the other's arms, not the ending John preferred, and if they were in a Steven Spielberg movie anything could happen but aliens would inevitably turn up. John really hoped that they were a Disney movie...
Sanctuary, Ashley, Sleeping on a leaf lies the Lake King's daughter . . . . Then the wind comes skipping To the lilies on the water; And the kind winds wake her. Now who will take her? With a laugh she is slipping Through the lilies on the water.
He's Arthur's favourite companion and Gwen's favourite Knight; he's a favourite of the barmaids because he tips well and of the servants because he knows what it's like to be in their shoes.
He's the favourite of the squires, who love to watch him practice, and the favourite of the noblewoman for his dark eyes and royal influence.
But as Merlin smiles wickedly up at him as he sinks to his knees, Lancelot thinks it's no competition to figure out who his favourite is.

There is darkness in Morgana's eyes--in the bright eyes that used to whisper so much promise--and she hangs before him - hangs, because her feet don't touch the ground when she walks, but that's not Merlin's doing: power hisses along the curl of her sleeves.
Her lips smirk (full and red and wet).
Merlin's breath is ragged (because this is it, this is it, what Gaius told him never to do: never show himself, especially to Morgana, because she's changed), and he lowers his hand - and Morgana, well, Morgana smiles (with her lips and her dark dark eyes), and she just says, "Well." (with the richest, darkest tone to her voice, and he shudders).
Sanctuary, Will/Kate, promising something newmyfloralbonnetJanuary 20 2010, 09:56:23 UTC

She looked down at his offering, the ring in his hand covered in grime, and took a deep breath. She took his hand in hers and wrapped her fingers around his, her palm warm over the cold metal of a promise. Kate nodded and whispered yes.
