Good grief, we have those plates too!
On the whole I prefer whole-grain mustard but the American variety will do- at a pinch.
Incidentally, talking about condiments, I've recently discovered Stokes' Red Onion Marmalade. It's wonderful stuff.

The Midwinter range - Ros and I started collecting in 1973 when we were first married - so it’s 49 years old.
I will have a look for that Red Onion marmalade.

We buy it online. The only store that stocks it- that we've found- is Waitrose.
