No enthusiasm for reading

I used to read at least fifty books a year, religiously writing reviews on Goodreads for each volume. Now? I have hardly read a page of anything since the 31st January. Well, that's not quite true. Back in January I was two-thirds of the way through Martin Walker's latest - Bruno's Challenge. I have picked it up, read a page or two and put it back ( Read more... )

This situation may take a good long time. Perhaps for now short stories may be the solution.

It's kind of ridiculous, but since I started working at the library three years ago, my book reading rate has dropped to the floor and is working its way through it! I'm lucky to get through a dozen books a year these days!

You have had a major life event, there's no doubt that you're going to go through a lot of recalibration over the next year or two. I know I did for a good year when my immune system collapsed.
