RP with itwontstopme | Time to talk

[Follows a few days after THIS]It had been a tough few days in Austin for Taylor, to say the least. She didn't think her or Jason intended for them to just end up in bed together as soon as they reunited, but it had happened, and she wasn't sorry for it. It was the first time in months she felt alive and connected again. That just wasn't something ( Read more... )

Jason yawned but didn't have a chance to answer before his alarm clock was buzzing and he had to reach over and turn it off with a small groan of protest at being awake. He pushed up onto his elbows and looked at her groggily. "Y'alright?" he mumbled, blinking slowly to try and get his bearings. "I gotta go to the bathroom, but I'll be back. Do you wanna... it's a cold morning, no need to be up yet. Maybe we can just come back to bed and... talk?" he finally suggested, having spent most of the previous day trying to pluck up the courage to broach it with her. Unfortunately, he had to keep his morning routine as best he could, hence the alarm. "I won't be so long."

Taylor knew his morning routine. It had been part of hers for what felt like a very long time but had only been a few short months before everything came crashing down around them. The only time the routine faltered was when he was ill. Even if he went back to bed, he was always up at this time; he didn't have the luxury of catering to bodily functions like most did. She understood, she always had. There wasn't a single part about Jason or his condition that she hadn't been able to slot comfortably in her life. She loved him, that just all came with the package.

She bit down on her lip, her eyes full of worry about The Talk. But she stood up and made sure his chair was where he needed it to be and then collected his rob and another pair of warm socks. It was reflexive. He couldn't feel if his feet were cold, but that didn't mean they didn't get cold, and they did. They hadn't slept together since that morning when she arrived in Austin, but she was aching to kiss him and touch him. So far, it was just sharing a bed, in the plain ( ... )

Once the bathrobe was on, Jason pulled himself into his chair and was grateful when she helped him pull the socks on. Saved him trying to struggle with them. Now they had agreed to talk, he just wanted to get back so they could. "Tea sounds real nice," he agreed with a nod. He held her gaze for a moment, and a small smile flicked on his lips. It was just like had been before the accident. The comfort between them. She knew him, and knew what he needed. He could see right then at that moment how much he had missed her to the point of pain, and missed having a life with someone who was his whole world ( ... )

Taylor took her time making the tea. The last thing she wanted was for Jason to feel he had to rush, even if her own stomach was flip-flopping in anticipation. Her mind was racing as she arranged everything neatly on the tray, deciding on real tea in a teapot instead of teabags. She knew he liked it strong, just like she did, but as she was waiting for the kettle to boil, she leaned forward on the counter, exhaling slowly. She had wishes for the clean slate deal herself, but it was impossible. She had suffered too much grief losing their baby and making herself lose Jason in the process. She had wanted so badly to marry him and have a family with him. After having a crush on him since she was eleven, it was like everything was falling into place when he proposed to her. Then it was all gone. Seeing him here in Austin, she just wanted to crawl into bed with him and curl up beside him forever. She just wished she had felt like that in the wake of the accident. It would have saved them both a lot of heartache ( ... )
