I've always asked a lot of questions. It was never enough for me to know what happened, I needed to know why and how. I was the kid that kept my teachers on their toes and drove my parents crazy

This blog reminds me something we learned in Geology. When glass is first made it is all the same. Clear and untainted, but if you leave it outside the elements of which it is made will have their way. Mud will make it dirty and hard to see through, sand and wind will make tons of little chip marks, water will change it's shape, but no matter what it is still glass. It isn't ugly or tainted because nature got a hold of it. It has just been given character. In fact wind and sand would frost the glass and make it prettier. Water would round its edges and make it easier to hold. Humans are a lot like that. There are a lot of things we can't control, but we get to decide whether these things make us ugly or just add character.

It really is important for us to remember we have a choice. I think everyone is made beautiful.
