My feet are cold. Very very wet and cold. The UBC campus is now a series of lakes, rivers and streams. My feet were fairly wet but then I made the mistake of looking where I was going instead of at my feet and walking into/kicked the lake of water that is outside of the library entrance. Now my shoes and lower pants are fully soaked.

When my cousins came over to bring us wood and take us to breakfast, the cats got spooked. Wolfgang went up the chimney. Her white white belly is no more!

Taralee keeps gathering wood and bring it back to the apartment. We have a fireplace. We have gotten pretty good at lighting wet wood. Today I came home to a large branch plus various other smaller wood bits. I bought a hatchet. It is cold and dark outside so I thought, hey why not just chop off a log here in the apartment? The chili is in the pot. Simmering away. My first chili. Hopefully it is yummy. There was a problem with the debit system at Safeway and I think I got my chili makings for free. Mmmmm free chili.
