Olympus: Grand Opening. [open to all Stargate muses]

John waltzed in, loafers, distressed jeans and belt, white button-up and navy jacket from toe to neck.. He could've been someone's dad, but at least he looked good. He turned to Keller and grinned, strolling in a few minutes late as per John's plan

She shook her head at John as he almost jumped behind the bar, a smile forming upon her lips at how excited he was. Glancing around she gave the room a once over, a proud look upon her face. They had done it, they really had done it. Looking back towards John she headed behind the bar with him and opened a couple of bottle of wine and grabbing a beer for herself.

"Who's thirsty?" Get them drinking and when the bar becomes quieter they can take it in turns to socialize.

"Hey.." he said when a slow song came on. "Wanna cut and run?"

He grinned, holding out a hand for her. "Lorne's gonna take over for a little while."

Biting upon her bottom lip she looked his hand for a moment before nodding slowly, "I'd love to."

Moving forward she waved a thank you to Lorne before taking hold of Johns hand.

He smiled softly, tugging her out onto the dancefloor as something slow and Sinatra-inspired poured over them. It made the whole thing seem severely dreamlike and he didn't hesitate to grip her waist.

"You look.. nice." Nice was a safe word, a friend word.

Leaning on the bar she watched him with a smile upon her face, slipping out from behind the bar Keller walked towards him, trying not to look too shy about what she was wearing, "Don't you know there is a rule here? You're supposed to have a drink in a bar."

And as if by magic she held a beer out to him.

"Jennifer," she scolded him, "You're off duty." Grinning back at him she raised an eyebrow, "And how exactly are you going to do that?"

Jack, though excited about cake, wasn't very big on parties. He never really had been. He preferred team nights with just a few people, good food, good conversation and good beer. Which was why he quickly got himself one from the bar.

With a beer in hand he found himself a relatively quiet little corner and hid away. If people wanted to talk. He'd talk, but otherwise he was keeping a low profile.

After a little while, John managed to get away from the bar and started making the rounds.

"General," he greeted with a warm smile, outstretching a hand. "Enjoying yourself?"

"Colonel." Jack returned the smile and shook his hand with the one not holding the beer. "Yes. It's a nice place you've managed to create."

"Thanks, sir..." He smiled, leaning sideways against the wall. "So... don't dance, huh?"

Daniel was still on his happy little school boy high. If anyone could hear into his mind right now it would scream 'I'M IN ATLANTIS WOO HOO'. And he's spent most of the day looking through databases and exploring parts of the city. To him the party was a good start to his visit to Atlantis, and hopefully this would be the first trip of many.

Heading into the bar he smiled at what they had done. The name was perfect and...he was still more than a little excite about it all. Glancing around he headed to the bar and leaned up against it. It was a great spot to see people as they came in.

"Hey, Jackson, what can I do ya for?" he asked from behind the bar, shaking the brand of beer they had drank together on Earth.

"One of those will do just nicely," he said with a smile. "This is a little different from the last time we had a drink together."

"Just a bit," he said with a wink, popping the tab and passing the bottle over to Daniel.

"Enjoying your stay so far?"

Dressed in a subtle green plaid camp shirt and khaki pants, Radek walked around the corner to the bar's entrance. He continued his comm conversation to one of the scientists stuck monitoring projects in the science lab, "Don't worry, Dr. Ballinger, I'll be back to relieve you in, say, an hour or two so you can come down and join in the festivities. Remember I promised you could have weekend off after today."

After receiving an enthusiastic thanks from her, Radek tapped off his comm and walked in.

Radek still had his mind on a few research projects and the experiments and simulations he had running for said projects in his lab, but he'd decided to let some of the junior members of his staff supervise while he popped in to make an appearance at the bar. He was confident they could handle things on their own for two hours.

He also had to at least see if Sheppard had managed to bring in any good Czech beers.

Momentarily distracted by the impressive layout before him he almost didn't hear Cadman's approach. When he realized she was talking to him, he turned to see a stunning sight.

"Lieutenant Cadman?"
