I adore Alex here, so incredibly sweet and always understanding of others and willing to let himself feel. The sleeping on the couch, and the cufflink and the last line made me ;_;

And I loved the bonus Maes and Roy smut, with Alex listening and joining in! It was a nice balance to the angry/sad sex between Roy and Alex. I've always wanted to read something believable for them, in fact, just anything for them really as it's a very rare pairing in my experience, and that really worked.

I absolutely love it, thank you so much <3

I really wanted to do Alex justice. I feel like he's kind of an underrated character, and unfairly so! I was so happy that you requested him since I'd been wanting to do a more serious exploration of his character for a while. This one's all thanks to you! ^_^

Yeahhhh, the Roy/Maes smut just sort of came out of nowhere. I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. XD

I missed your awesome FMA fics that make fandom cool again. <3333 Reading this was one of the reasons I went on that writing spree the other day, I think; it helped me remember why I love writing for these characters.

I always love the way you handle this series in your work; you take characters to bad places in such a awesome way, so that it never feels inorganic or put on or angsty-for-angst's sake. It feels very real, and very devastating, and that's just the way I like it. <3 Roy's breakdown at the end was really amazing. It's my favorite when he totally loses it because he is SO controlled and put together, but because of that, a lot of Roy breakdowns in fanworks aren't earned at all and just end up feeling stupid You earned yours, though, and very well. <3 (I tend to cheat on my own Roy breakdowns a lot, so I love seeing you do it better

Again, I'll just say that I'm so relieved to hear that Roy's breakdown worked organically within the story. I am just so, so fond of the Mustang Meltdown that I fear I may overdo it, and the only solution is to keep finding new and exciting ways to destroy him. XD

It's funny to hear you say that about the Roy/Maes dialogue, but re-reading it, you're totally right! I think I might have to give a little credit to chiharu_octavia--- her wonderful Maes has helped me look at the character in many new lights, including a lighter touch for his dialogue. I'm so happy that it worked out
