The note at the end made me squee so hard. <3

Considering YOU'RE the one who invited Fidget in the FIRST PLACE, I'm not surprised at all by how easily you can picture that. ;)
Isn't it the best?? I'm so glad you love the note as much as I do. And of course Basil's going to make a big show of almost tearing it up, before rushing off and hiding it under his pillow or something. XDDD

Ohhhh, I'm really excited for the next installment. And as you can see, your reservations about quality notwithstanding, I was thrilled with your new batch of icons! I just love that sequence so much--- Ratigan manhandling Basil is canon!--- and to have some icons of it is just too, too awesome. Thanks so much. <333
ETA: Your icon is super appropriate! XD

Last night, I fell asleep like a paragraph into this. I'm ashamed to admit my exhaustion made me not read.
HOWEVER.
I just finished it now, and OMG. Just. Holy fucking hell. That was amazing! Not that I ever doubted that, but you know. And like anneka_neko, I'm disturbed at how easy it is to picture Fidget humping Basil. ^^;; And I love the tiny hints into Ratigan's past. Also his mental debate. *squees*
It's brilliant! <3

It's just really easy to take Fidget to a really dark place, isn't it? There's just something about him! And it's funny, while I was writing it, I was like, "that's nasty, I hope it doesn't turn people off the series," and here everyone loves it. I love you guys. XD
The longer the series goes on, the deeper I'd like to go in exploring the characters's pasts. After all, Ratigan wasn't always a kingpin, and Basil wasn't always a famous detective. They had to have started somewhere, whether as a petty thug (I can see young Ratigan working as somebody's "muscle") or a disliked vigilante (before they respected him, I'll bet the police thought Basil was a pain in the ass).
As always, your icon is super appropriate. Thanks so much for reading and commenting! I'm so happy that you're still loving these stories. <3

Fidget is a dark place. ;) He's certainly not all there, and seeing how that could play out is interesting. And we love you, too! You're just as pervy and terrible as the rest of us. <3
I have this little theory that Basil used to be on the force and showed all sorts of promise, but went a little off over the "one that got away;" i.e., Ratigan. And it ended with him off the force because he seriously let it drive his actions more than it should have, and he kept screwing up the other officer's standoffs and vigils and the like. And he became sort of a joke, but as time went on and he stopped being quite so manic about it all, they realised oh, wait, he's still damn good at what he does.
:D I adore them so much! Thanks for writing this! <3
