I love the picture of the sky-amazing color! I also love the self portrait, very reflective/introspective.

That's a funny story about what happened in the store! You and your kids have a lot of fun together and that's really nice.

LOL- Nathan telling his friends that Katy Perry is his mother!

I absolutely love the shirt-I should get the one for Hawaii 5-0. "Some Navy SEALS marry Detectives from Jersey, get over it!"

Thank you! I loved the pink & purple clouds, it was so pretty...and I was indeed reflecting by the river, trying to rid myself of 2011 and concentrate on positivity for 2012! ♥

Nathan was so funny, but he says his friends think Katy Perry is a bad singer. I told him, "Who cares? She's loaded. That's all that matters in the biz!" Plus, she's also one of the top selling artists of the past few years so I think she's probably sitting pretty, lol.

LOL, yep, if those NAVY SEALS wanna marry DETECTIVES from JERSEY, by golly, they should! ;D

Thanks re: my self portrait, I was in fact very introspective at the moment trying to be Zen with the water and wash away all the crappy stress of 2011! I'll be dragging your ass down there, it's a pretty walk to the river (note, I did not say 'hike', lol), with lots of cool *schtuf* along the way (mini waterfalls, giant buddha, enormous ganja leaf on the side of the mountain...it's calling our names!). ;D

I see you are back to your Dave Matthews header.... I should change mine more often...but I just don't feel like it....hence the YEARS old items on my sidebar (I do still like my sidebar, I'm just too lazy to update it).

Anyway, I love these photos, you look very reflective in the self portrait.

The Katy Perry story is brilliant...

I love taking photos, I should do this. I only have a small Nikon coopix camera, and I don't even know completely what it can do, though! Like #16, Long exposure, what does that mean?

Heehee, I'm back to the DM header only because I *am* lazy, lol...I just keep diggin' up old banners and switching them out (like for Dec. I had my old Franklin/TB banner up). I can't seem to pinpoint a new theme, I made an animated Katy Perry banner a couple months ago though but got tired of it after a while. I'm fickle!

Oooh, Nikon Coolpix are cool! :) I have one too. The long exposure would be a pic you take when the camera lens stays open longer than usual, to bring in more light. To do it on your camera, I'd use the 'fireworks show' preset (on the automated modes) because it extends the exposure time for darkness. It's fun to fiddle around with it, you can create unique pics at times.

Thanks for the tip. I do like playing with the different settings on my camera to get the best shot.

And I'm doing this meme, just posted prompt one.

It's really, really well done! I love the reflective mood of it and of course the scenery is perfection. The model's pretty dang impressive too. ;-)

HEE. :D I rode my bike to the river on New Year's Eve so I could contemplate and be away from all the noise, to 'wash' away 2011's juju and pump up those positive vibes for 2012. :)
