Neal gen, or Neal/Peter/El OT3 anonymous February 29 2012, 07:14:34 UTC
Neal can't stop crying on the plane.

Because that is how I feel. >(

If you feel like writing an epic with OT3 happy ending, I am totally down with that! I really want that! In fact I totally second the prompt above mine.

But mostly I just want Neal. On the plane. Crying.

Yes!! As we watched all those emotions play across Neal's face, I totally expected to see a tear slip out. Would love to see this prompt filled!

I think I have to write this. Is your heart set on a happy ending, OP? Right now all I can do is something bittersweet. My brain can't go anywhere else lol

Oh my God, I'm not set on anything, I promise, I just want all the crying. Bittersweet totally works! This is a huge mistake and he is leaving behind his FAMILY and that SUCKS.

Thank you thank you :D

Well then, gear up for a really long crying jag, cuz it's ramping up to be a five times kind of situation. :)

Is there room for more at this party? :)

In Which There Is Crying

Neal fidgeted in his seat.

The belt pinched. He unbuckled it.

He looked up. He looked to the side, out the window. It was such a small window.

He was in a cage.

But then:

The sun came out. It peeked out from behind the corner of a cloud. It shone over the water, over the island, over the greatest city in the world, Neal's home and his prison. It shone so bright it hurt to look at.

He relaxed. He turned back to the present, to the world around him. (And oh, that little plane was such a big world, now that he had chosen it.) The sun came in through that small window, and its light was warm on the side of his face.

He even smiled, a little.

He was free.

"Mozzie," Neal said. He was free. He was free. He felt frozen.

Mozzie turned. "Neal?"

"Is this what Peter meant?"

Hee! I quite enjoyed your Not-A-Fill. Nice job fixing the situation.

Can't wait to see how JE manages to write his way out of this one without Neal winding up in prison for life and Peter fired.

OP - thank you! anonymous March 2 2012, 00:55:37 UTC
HAH HAH YES. The first part is nicely crying-centric (though mostly I love how Mozzie's like UGH NEAL WHY YOU CRY SO PRETTY, IT'S GROSS), but part two also made my day.

Thank you. :)

OK, OP, I don't usually start posting WiPs, but here's part 1 of "Five Times Neal Cried Over Leaving":

----

On the PlaneMoz dropped Leilana onto his tray and slid into the seat next to Neal. Neal's eyes slid over to Moz, who gave him a crooked smile as he settled his seatbelt around his hips, then back out the window, watching the clouds pass as their plane continued to climb ( ... )

Not OP

Raw and emotional and probably exactly what he was thinking. I only hope Peter and El appear in this somewhere. Thanks for not waiting.

Empty BedIt took three connecting flights, four trains and a taxi to get them there, but in the end Neal and Moz - correction: Victor and Bob - settled in to a rented villa just outside Nice that overlooked the Mediterranean. Moz was prattling on about reaching out to their new friend Gordon Taylor to ask him over for tea, and Neal could only just stare at him blankly. The headache that had been threatening since morning was swiftly becoming a throbbing migraine, and he just couldn’t take much more of Moz’s giddy enthusiasm ( ... )

OP here.

Oh god, this is heartbreaking. :(

The plane was excellent, with that horrible irrevocable feeling just starting to sink in. And this one - I was scared to read it just from the title, an empty bed is such a desolate image. I love that the whole thing was worse because the bed didn't smell right - that felt very true. And now I am sad.

(Which is EXACTLY what I wanted, so thank you)
