I love House because he is someone that everyone wants to be. You want to be able to say things without anything getting it spit back in your face, and House is able to do that. And I really love how the writers portray that. He is able to say what he thinks, and yeah he hurts people sometimes, but its the truth, and people need to be able to handle that. They shouldnt be naive that there are bad things in the world, that there are great big chasms in the world, and sometimes life sucks. I mean if life didnt suck, people wouldnt need to be adopted, they wouldnt sell themselves out on the streets, everyone would have a home and live happily ever after. And lets face the facts, thats never going to happen

This is strong. Right? And kind of a contradiction - because, on one hand, many pple hate him for being so sincere, though if you think it better, after all pple hate him because they want to be like him...

House is such a real show. Or at least it was more in the beginning. It had a real protagonist who had real problems and a real personality. He wasn't like some leading roles who are practically begging the audience to like them. Sometimes you hate House and sometimes you love him. Same with all the other characters.

i love house (the show) because it's rare to see a show get the balance between funny and dramatic so perfectly. i love it because the characters-- ALL of them-- are so attractively flawed. they all have issues, and they're not terribly concerned with fixing those issues; in fact, most of the time they don't even see them as issues, but WE do, and we get to see how those issues are fixed even if they don't care about fixing them. i like house because the truth of the situation always hits the character involved in the last five minutes of the episode, and it's never a truth that we expected. and i like it because somehow the writers manage to fit fifty completely impossible medical conditions into one episode and they get us to believe they're possible

Word. And the truth of the situation always hits the character involved in the last five minutes of the episode, and it's never a truth that we expected. These arguments are perfect! Thanks and thanks, really. House episodes are always suprinsing us, and you dont know what will happen till the end :O

Third; i love him because he's a medical genius.Totally. And this combination of genius+old+vicodin addict makes me like the character even more... Because, its rare to see such a combination on tv! You know, the hero are always the nice looking, breathtaking, perfect, athelte guy... And House is just the contrary; and pple love him. God. I love you. Inspiration came to me by just reading your comment :D

Oh, hi! :) Actually, I have seen that post, but since I'm going on vacations next week I won't have internet connection till late February/early March.
