thanks for the link to the crossplay blogger. That was pretty cool :) I've not seen to many FTM gender-bending outfits that reimagine the original that creatively.

(ETA: also I have been in and grew up near walmarts and grocery stores that have those Amish romance novels. Definitely an interesting niche)

I've read quite a number of Amish romance novels! I'm interested in Amish and Mennonite culture, and some of the novels are written by other Mennonites who know the Amish community well, or even by ex-Amish. Some of them are quite good, some (usually the ones by non-Mennonites) are crass Christian morality stories and/or evangelism.

The Amish romance novels I've read are ones about gay men leaving the community in various ways. Not exactly the same market. :D
