Annoying ways to make up

Things that are not fun to deal with right after waking up:

• Finding one of your machines has gone unresponsive.
• Finding you need to move your fridge in order to reboot that machine.
• Finding the AFP server didn't come back online correctly.
• Finding that the BDB file afpd uses has become corrupted.
• Finding you have no idea how to recover a BDB database.

Yup. BDB empirically does suck ass.

I hope you're not using it as the SVN backend anywhere...
