The freezing is a much bigger issue than the memory usage. 150MB out of 2048 isn't that bad. It also must not be exactly identical to the Firefox engine, as there are a number of sites that do work in FF, but not in Camino.

On OS X there are so many great browsers it is nearly impossible to pick one and stick with it. I'm constantly switching between them depending on my needs.

The problem with switching is the browsers don't share your saved passwords, so you're constantly trying to remember what browser saved your password for a given site.

To solve this problem I wrote 1Passwd; it allows you to store all your passwords in one spot (the keychain of course) and share this data across most browsers. It's like Keychain on steroids :)
