I'd probably be disappointed if canon were this easy. But the beauty is that it *could* be, that there's nearly no baggage holding them back. (Or alternatively, so much that they're better off working through it together.)

I never read any of the comics (from what I heard they were really weird). That said I am glad she told him and I can only hope she actually means it.
