Serenity

Aug 24, 2005 23:54

I'm on my way home from a preview screening of Serenity, which was followed by a Q&A with Summer Glau and Joss Whedon.

Three words (for now), just in case anyone had doubts: it is good.

joss whedon, serenity, films, firefly

If you didn't ask a question, I'll be disappointed.

Nothing very interesting - I just asked what the plans were for the dvd. Apparently stuff! (he did say there was lots of cool b-roll footage for docs though)

Summer Glau? Aw, drat! All we got was a crazy chick with a handmade birthday banner for Joss Whedon (we went to the second set of screenings? third set? the ones before this one anyway).

I was more excited about Whedon than Glau, personally. :)

Me too!

I'm always baffled by Media-fan types who squee over actors, but seem to have no idea that there even _are_ writers creating this stuff for them.

Word. To be fair, Whedon seems to do pretty well on this score--more than many tv/film writers, at least--but I'm especially convinced after last night. He's the guy with the big brain.
