Very interesting - and I've been there too. Sometimes it really makes you question - are these people really my friends? What do they say about me when I'm not around....

All things in degrees, my friend. I don't think that you can take on the world and fight every single battle over things that are not your business. If you truly think that what these people think (or yammer about) will adversely affect an outcome of someone's well-being, then by all means, speak up. Otherwise, it's just childish BS and ignoring it always seems to be the best course of action rather than giving it one more ounce of your attention.
